How do I muster up the courage to quit my job? I’m in college and just received a great opportunity to work in my field of study. The thing is, I would have to start right away and would have to quit my current part-time job without much notice to my current employer (a famous pizza chain). I don’t want to be a jerk to them but there is no way I am saying no to this opportunity. How do I do this?
It’s not really a matter of mustering courage. (Nice vocabulary BTW). It’s a matter of just getting on with it. Stop wondering if you are brave enough and just do it.

If you have not already quit you’ve wasted time. Stop reading this and do it now. Tell them you’re sorry and explain the circumstances. If they get mad, that’s their problem. Do you know why there is never a news headline saying, “Fast Food Employee Quits Without Much Notice”? It’s because it happens so often that it isn’t news. Anywhere.
Give as much notice as you can. Don’t look too happy. Be extra pleasant during your last shifts no matter how much shade might be cast your way. Good luck.
