I don’t want my employees spending money on me. How can I discourage them from giving me gifts?

Wow. Just wow. And thanks for the asterisks.
Supervisor, my advice is to be clear. Send an email to your employees or tell them in a team meeting* that in past years, some employees have given you gifts and you prefer that they spend that money on themselves. Keep it light and don’t give the impression that you expected gifts in the first place. Short and sweet. Now, get back to work.
* If you already have team meetings. Do not call a special meeting for this purpose.
