I’ve started working at a workplace that is very casual and fun spirited. People work hard but also laugh a lot, partly because there are practical jokes on a regular basis. Do you have any tips for me for making sure a workplace practical joke is appropriate without going too far?
If anyone calls 9-1-1, you went too far. Try to aim slightly below that level of excitement. In addition:
- Don’t leave marks.
- Don’t use any chemicals or other substances banned by the EPA or Geneva Conventions.
- Don’t light fires.
- Don’t get caught.
- Don’t forget to actually do your job.
